An 87-year-old woman with dementia who went missing over the weekend, prompting a Silver Alert, has been found, authorities announced Monday.
Christine Smith was last seen Sunday at her care facility in the 10900 block of Washington Boulevard, according to the Culver City Police Department.
Police issued a Silver Alert for Smith on Monday, which set off alerts on cell phones across the area.
Police announced Monday afternoon Smith had been located, but no details were released about where or when Smith was found.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
