A fire damaged a vacant commercial building in the South Park area of Los Angeles Wednesday, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters sent to the 400 block of East 55th Street at 12:23 p.m. extinguished the flames in the single-story building in 34 minutes, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
Some firefighters remained on scene early Wednesday afternoon ventilating the building. The cause of the fire was under investigation.
