A Huntington Beach man was charged Wednesday with stabbing another man at Bolsa Chica State Beach.
Michael Alexander Ryan, 48, was charged with attempted murder and assault with a deadly weapon, both felonies. He also faces sentencing enhancements for allegedly inflicting great bodily injury on the victim and the personal use of a deadly weapon.
Police were called to the beach at about 4:45 p.m. Monday. When officers arrived, state parks police had Ryan in custody and the victim was rushed to an area hospital, according to the Huntington Beach Police Department.
