Two people were killed Sunday in a fiery, single-vehicle crash in the Quartz Hill area of the Antelope Valley, authorities said.
Firefighters and paramedics were sent to Avenue K and 62nd Street West at about 2:30 a.m. but did not take anyone to a hospital, according to a Los Angeles County Fire Department dispatcher.
The genders of the fatalities were not immediately known.
The vehicle was speeding westbound on Avenue K when the driver lost control, hitting a center median and striking a metal pole, according to a source at the scene.
No further information was immediately available.
