Costa Mesa police Tuesday were investigating the discovery of a body inside a residential trash bin Tuesday.
Police did not immediately release any details of the discovery, which was made in a trash bin outside a home in the 1900 block of Maple Avenue.
Police cordoned off the street while the investigation unfolded.
CBS2 reported from the scene that the body was that of a woman in her 30s or 40s.
There was no immediate word on how the woman may have died.
