A brush fire burned less than an acre of vegetation in Elysian Park near Dodger Stadium Friday as the World Series unfolded, but no injuries were reported and no structures damaged.
The brusher was reported around 4:30 p.m. in the 1300 block of North Stadium Way, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It was unclear what may have sparked the fire, and the cause was under investigation.
Fire crews remained on the scene Friday evening to ensure no further hot spots flared up and to continue clean-up operations.
