A suspect was arrested and a handgun was recovered by police in Long Beach, authorities said Sunday.
Officers doing a patrol check near the 2100 block of East Ocean Boulevard at about 6:45 p.m. Saturday located an occupied vehicle from a previous incident and conducted a traffic stop, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
“During their investigation, officers recovered a firearm,” according to a police statement. “The passenger, who was determined to be prohibited possessor, was arrested. The investigation is ongoing.”
