Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters joined fire crews from the Los Angeles County Fire Department in extinguishing an attic fire Saturday at a residence near Baldwin Village.

The fire crews were called at 5:07 a.m. to the 3600 block of West Stocker Street where they found heavy flames coming from the attic, LAFD spokeswoman Margaret Stewart said.

It took 46 LAFD firefighters and an unknown number of county firefighters 28 minutes to put out the flames.

The LAFD responded in automatic aid to the fire, which was in the county’s jurisdiction, according to Stewart.

No injuries were reported.
