A 33-year-old man who was fatally stabbed in front of the live music venue Echoplex in Echo Park was identified Monday.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at 2:15 a.m. Saturday to a reported stabbing at 1822 Sunset Blvd., near Glendale Boulevard. Officers found a man on a sidewalk suffering from multiples stab wounds, LAPD Media Relations told City News Service.
Luis Aguirre of San Fernando was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the county Department of Medical Examiner and the LAPD.
No suspect description was available, and the investigation is ongoing.
