A man believed about 25 years old was killed when he crashed a motorcycle into a turning vehicle in the Vermont Vista area of Los Angeles, authorities said Monday.
The crash was reported at 9:17 p.m. Sunday at Figueroa and 89th streets, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.
The vehicle was northbound on Figueroa Street and turning left onto 89th Street when the southbound green Suzuki GSX-R motorcycle crashed into the vehicle at a high rate of speed, he said.
Paramedics took the motorcycle rider to a hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead, said the officer. His identity was not known.
