A multi-vehicle crash on the Golden State (5) Freeway in the Mission Hills area Wednesday snarled traffic in the area during the morning commute.
The crash, involving at least one big rig, was reported about 6:40 a.m. on the southbound 5 Freeway near Brand Boulevard, according to the California Highway Patrol.
It was unclear if anyone was hurt. Several lanes were blocked while crews worked to clear the scene.
