A woman who was not wearing pants was fatally struck as she walked across lanes of the Gardena (91) Freeway in Carson Saturday.
The California Highway Patrol was first informed at 6:39 p.m. Saturday about the woman walking in eastbound lanes just east of Main Street.
Around 6:50 p.m., witnesses began reporting the woman was struck, according to the CHP.
She was pronounced dead at the scene and was not immediately identified.
Three eastbound lanes were shut down until just after 10 p.m.
