A man was fatally shot Thursday morning in the Wilshire District west of Pershing Square in downtown Los Angeles and the alleged shooter is on the loose.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at 2:23 a.m. to 626 Wilshire Blvd. between Sixth and Seventh streets. When they arrived, a witness told them they heard a gunshot and when officers searched the area, they found the victim on the sidewalk with gunshot wounds, an LAPD spokesman told City New Service.
The victim was taken to a hospital, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
There was no suspect description.
