A 19-year-old man was scheduled for arraignment Friday in connection with a fatal stabbing in Costa Mesa in June.
Christopher Mathew Pena was arrested Thursday on a warrant charging him with conspiracy and murder, according to court records. He was scheduled to be arraigned in the Central Justice Center in Santa Ana.
Co-defendant Israel Antonio Valencia, 25, was charged in June with murder with a sentencing enhancement for the personal use of a deadly weapon. They are accused of killing 22-year-old Edgar Angel Hernandez of Anaheim, police said.
Officers responded to a knife attack in the 1700 block of Placentia Avenue, near 17th Street, at about 11 p.m. June 11. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.
