The Los Angeles Police Department asked for the public’s help Monday in identifying the driver involved in a fatal hit-and-run collision in the Larchmont area that killed a 25-year-old woman.
Officers responded near the intersection of Western and Rosewood avenues after receiving reports of a collision involving a pedestrian around 3:20 a.m. on June 22, police said.
The woman was hit by a late-model white pickup truck traveling southbound on Western Avenue while she was walking westbound in a crosswalk.
Police said the vehicle failed to stop and render aid before it was last seen near Pico Boulevard and Oxford Avenue.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics arrived at the location and took the woman to a hospital, where she died.
A reward of up to $50,000 is available for information leading to the identification, arrest and conviction of a suspect in a hit-and-run death under Los Angeles’ Hit-and-Run Reward Program Trust Fund created in 2015 .
