Two people were shot in Lakewood, a day after a boy was fatally shot at the same location, the Lakewood Sheriff’s Station reported Friday.
Deputies responding to a shooting at a strip mall at Pioneer Boulevard and Del Amo Boulevard around 2:20 p.m. Thursday found two victims down, with a gunshot wound each, authorities said.
The two were taken to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries according to a deputy with the Lakewood Sheriff’s Station.
The victims of the drive-by shooting were a man and a woman and at least two suspects who were in a black car are being sought, ABC7 reported, citing information from Lakewood Sheriff’s Station deputies.
A 17-year-old boy was fatally shot in front of the Goody’s Pizza & Chicken store at the strip mall Wednesday.
The motive behind the shooting was unclear and sheriff’s deputies could not confirm whether the shootings were related.
There was no description of a suspect.
