A suspect was shot and killed by Torrance Police Department officers in an industrial area of the city Monday.
Officers responded to the 2900 block of Oregon Court, near Maple Avenue and Del Amo Boulevard, Monday to investigate an unknown situation, where a suspect was contacted, then a shooting occurred, according to the police department.
“We recognize the seriousness of this incident and understand the concerns it raises within our community. There is no danger to the community members,” a statement from the department said.
The investigation into the shooting continued Monday evening.
