A 13-year-old boy who went missing after being last seen in Torrance, prompting an Ebony Alert, has been located, authorities announced Thursday.
David Juarez-Mack had been last seen near the intersection of 185th Street and Prairie Avenue around 3 p.m. Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol.
He has since been located, but no details were released about when or where David was found.
The Ebony Alert was issued at the request of the Torrance Police Department.
The law creating the Ebony Alert went into effect on New Year’s Day. It covers Black children, teenagers, and young adults 12 to 25 years old who are reported missing under unexplained or suspicious circumstances or those who are at-risk, developmentally disabled, cognitively impaired or who have been abducted.
