Firefighters put out a fire Friday in a home in the Manchester Square area of Los Angeles.
The fire was reported at 7627 Halldale Ave. at around 7:45 a.m. When firefighters arrived, there was heavy smoke coming from the one-story house, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It took 32 firefighters 21 minutes to extinguish the fire.
The house is a 98-year-old, 1,192-square-foot wood-frame and stucco structure. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
Firefighters say the fire originated in the kitchen area of the house.
