One person was killed and at least one was injured in a crash involving an SUV and a semi-trailer in Pomona, authorities said Saturday.
The crash occurred at 10:30 p.m. Friday near the eastbound freeway and Phillips Ranch Road where arriving California Highway Patrol officers found the overturned big rig and several damaged vehicles, including the SUV, CHP Officer Sean Lough told City News Service.
One person was pronounced dead at the scene and another was taken to a hospital with unknown injuries.
The CHP issued a SigAlert for the closure of all lanes of the eastbound freeway while they investigated the cause of the crash.
