Two Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Deputies were injured Saturday when their unmarked patrol vehicle and another vehicle collided in East Rancho Dominguez.

The crash occurred at 12:15 p.m. Saturday at East Compton Boulevard and Williams Avenue, according to Deputy G. Robles of the Sheriff’s Information Bureau. The deputies were northbound on Williams while the other vehicle was eastbound on Compton.

The deputies were taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of injuries Robles described as “not significant.”

The person in the other vehicle was treated at the scene, she said.

A sergeant at the Compton sheriff’s station declined to say whether the deputies were en route to a call for service at the time of the crash. An investigation by the California Highway Patrol was underway, Robles said.
