A big rig overturned on westbound state Route 62 Monday, temporarily blocking the roadway, but no injuries were reported.
The crash was reported shortly before 9:45 a.m. Monday, according to California Highway Patrol records, between Desert Hot Springs and Morongo Valley, adjacent to Indian Canyon Road. CHP records indicated that the tractor separated from the trailer on impact.
A tow truck was requested to the scene shortly after.
CHP officer David Torres told City News Service nobody was injured.
It was not immediately known what the truck was carrying.
All eastbound lanes, in addition to the No. 1 westbound lane, were reopened shortly after noon.
