A robbery suspect was taken into custody Saturday after an hours-long barricade inside a Culver City garage, authorities said.
A Culver City Police Department watch commander told City News Service that the suspect robbed a Shell gas station at 10332 Culver Blvd.
According to multiple media reports, the robbery occurred at about 9 a.m. Saturday and one person suffered minor injuries.
Culver City police reported at about 1 p.m. that they believed the suspect was barricaded inside a garage in the area of Jasmine Avenue and Braddock Drive and asked the public to avoid the area.
At 4:05 p.m., the department announced that “Police activity, including drone use, in the area of Jasmine Avenue and Braddock Drive has concluded. The suspect involved in the incident was brought into custody safely without further incident.”
