Firefighters in Koreatown Sunday morning knocked down a fire at a two-story apartment building, the site of a previous burn, authorities said.
A hazardous materials squad was dispatched to the location when firefighters located an unknown number of lithium-ion batteries burning at the structure, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
Firefighters dispatched at 5:30 a.m. to 837 S. Kingsley Drive had the fire out within 16 minutes of their arrival.
No injuries were reported.
