A man suffered stab wounds to the upper body in Long Beach and the suspect fled the scene prior to the arrival of police, authorities said Sunday.
Officers were dispatched at about 6:40 p.m. Saturday to the 3900 block of Ocean Boulevard regarding a stabbing and contacted the victim, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
Paramedics rushed him to a hospital for what were described as non-life-threatening injuries.
The victim told police that he was standing outside when a man approached him and stabbed him. No further information was immediately available.
