A man and a woman were shot — the woman fatally — inside a truck in Huntington Park and police are investigating the shootings, authorities said Tuesday.
Huntington Park Department officers were called at 9:40 p.m. Monday to the 3900 block of East 60th Street between Carmelita and Corona avenues, where they found the woman inside the truck, the Sheriff’s Information Bureau said.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The wounded man ran away to a liquor store, where he contacted police, NBC 4 reported. His condition was not immediately known.
Homicide detectives with the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department are assisting Huntington Park police with the investigation of a fatal shooting of a woman, the sheriff’s department said.
