A driver was in custody Wednesday after authorities allegedly found narcotics in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation in Antelope Valley, the California Highway Patrol said.
Officers stopped the driver on Sunday for speeding in a construction zone and grew suspicious after the occupant provided false information, the CHP said.
A subsequent search revealed narcotics in the vehicle, which were confirmed and seized with the help of a K-9 team, the CHP said.
No additional details were immediately available.
