Four people were arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and for a warrant during a DUI checkpoint in Eastvale, authorities said Saturday.

The checkpoint was held between Schleisman Road and Archibald Avenue from 8 p.m. Friday to 3 a.m. Saturday, according to the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department.

According to the sheriff’s department, 1,080 vehicles were screened, 59 were subject to secondary screening, 15 field sobriety tests were conducted and three people were arrested for allegedly driving under the influence, with one person arrested for an unspecified warrant.

Additionally, 14 citations were issued for driving without a license and six vehicles were stored or impounded.

Funding for the checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
