A 25-year-old man died Saturday when his car and a pickup truck collided in Santa Ana.
Reuben Contreras of Santa Ana was northbound on Harbor Boulevard at 9:19 a.m. Saturday when he attempted to make a left turn onto Croddy Way, the Santa Ana Police Department reported.
Contreras’ Toyota Camry was struck by a GMC Sierra that was southbound on Harbor, police said.
Contreras was pronounced dead at the scene, police said. The male pickup truck driver suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to a hospital.
The department’s Collision Investigations Unit was working to determine the cause of the crash but neither drugs nor alcohol appeared to be a factor, police said.
