A motorcyclist was killed in a multi-vehicle crash Saturday morning on the Golden State (5) Freeway near Griffith Park.
The crash occurred about 7:25 a.m. Saturday on the northbound freeway near the connector to the eastbound Ventura (134) Freeway, the California Highway Patrol reported.
The crash involved the motorcyclist, a semi-truck and at least five other vehicles.
Hernan Schwindt, 21, was pronounced dead at the scene, the Medical Examiner’s office said. His city of residence was not provided.
A Sigalert, issued at 7:45 a.m. closing the Nod. 1, 2 and 3 lanes of the northbound 5 Freeway, was canceled at 11:19 a.m.
