Fire crews were called to investigate a possible hazardous materials situation Monday in Wilmington, authorities said.

Crews responded around 11:30 a.m. Monday to the 900 block of West Harry Bridges Boulevard, near the intersection of South Figueroa Street, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Around 13 units were assigned to the investigation, fire officials said.

No injuries or evacuations were immediately reported, and it remained unclear what sparked the investigation.
