A 39-year-old man who was fatally shot was identified by county authorities Friday.
The Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as Hilton Rodriguez. Rodriguez was pronounced dead at the scene by Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at 9:30 p.m. Thursday to 4510 W. 23rd St. and West Boulevard regarding an assault with a deadly weapon call. When they arrived, officers found the victim on the ground suffering from gunshots wounds in a driveway, an LAPD officer told City New Service.
According to the medical examiner’s office, Rodriguez’ death has been ruled as a homicide and he died from a gunshot wound in his back.
There was no suspect information.
