Three suspects in black police-style clothing and masks entered an apartment Saturday in the Koreatown neighborhood of Los Angeles, assaulted a resident and fled with cash and jewelry.

The robbery occurred at 2:40 a.m. Saturday in the 3100 block of Wilshire Boulevard, east of Vermont Avenue, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Drake Madison told City News Service.

Three men wore black clothing and masks, one of whom carried a black semi-automatic handgun, Madison said.

The robbers got away with a large sum of cash and jewelry, he said.

Paramedics checked out the assaulted resident, who did not want to go to a hospital, Madison said.
