A motorcyclist fatally injured in a collision with a vehicle in Garden Grove was identified Thursday.
The crash between a Yamaha motorcycle and an Audi car happened around 10 p.m. Tuesday in the 12000 Block of Euclid Street near Chapman Avenue and north of the Garden Grove (22) Freeway, according to the Garden Grove Police Department.
Responding officers found the motorcylist unresponsive, and paramedics later pronounced him deceased at the scene. The victim was identified as 36-year-old Santiago Higareda Jr., who was transient, according to the Orange County Sheriff’s Coroner’s Department.
The driver of the 2017 Audi A6 remained at the scene and cooperated with the investigation, police said.
The cause of the collision was under investigation and it was unknown whether drugs or alcohol factored into the crash.
