A man suspected of burglary in an evacuation zone in Santa Monica was taken into custody, authorities announced Friday.
Officers from the Santa Monica and Culver City police departments observed a man attempting to force his way into an evacuated apartment complex on Wednesday, according to the Culver City Police Department.
The suspect was initially wanted for an outstanding warrant on suspicion of vehicle theft and had eluded officers before ultimately being taken into custody.
