A man suspected of having a firearm near a Los Angeles Water and Power building was taken into custody Tuesday evening.
Officers responded to the location around 7 p.m. Tuesday to reports of an armed man, according to the Los Angeles Police Department. Police did not disclose the exact location of the DWP building.
Fox11 reported, citing information from the LAPD, that the suspect was carrying a white bag in one hand and the gun, presumed to be a rifle, in the other.
Investigators did not determine if the man was a DWP employee, and there was no motive as to why the suspect was armed at a DWP building.
Police said no injuries were reported.
