A 59-year-old man who was killed after a vehicle crashed through an apartment in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles was identified Thursday by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s office.
The vehicle struck Mahammad Humbatov, who was pronounced dead at the scene. A 9-year-old boy was also injured in the crash and was taken to a hospital in serious condition, the LAFD stated. In addition, seven residents were displaced in the crash
Los Angeles Police Department officers from the Hollywood Division responded to a crash at an apartment building at 1836 N. Western Ave., south of Franklin Avenue around 1:38 a.m. Wednesday where they learned a sedan traveling on Western crashed through an apartment, NBC 4 reported.
Two people were trapped under the vehicle and were extradited within the unit in a two-story building, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
The driver who allegedly struck them was taken to a hospital with minor injuries and was identified as a 34-year-old woman.
