Investigators from the Palmdale sheriff’s station Friday asked the public for help identifying a man and a woman suspected of trying to rob a store in Pearblossom with a handgun.
The robbery attempt occurred Sept. 3 at the Dollar General at 12340 Pearblossom Highway, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
The man and woman entered the store and selected items before walking to the cash register, sheriff’s officials said.
The man placed a chrome-colored firearm on the counter and demanded money from the register but his effort was not successful. He fled with the woman in an older-model burgundy Saturn SC sedan with tinted windows and an untraceable license plate, which was recovered Sept. 15 at K and Belshaw streets in Mojave.
The man is described as white, with a black-and-red hat and white bandana and the woman was white with a tattoo on the right side of her chest partially visible in a surveillance photo.
Anyone with information was asked to call Deputy M. Alcaraz at 661-272-2546 or email mdalcara@lasd.org.
