Officers arrested a suspect and recovered a handgun when they responded to a report of an armed robbery in Long Beach, authorities said Thursday.
Officers dispatched about 8:10 p.m. Wednesday to the 1000 block of East Second Street, regarding a robbery, located the suspect nearby and subsequently arrested him, the Long Beach Police Department reported.
“During their investigation, officers recovered a loaded firearm,” according to a police statement. “The investigation is ongoing.”
The suspect’s identity was not immediately released.
