The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department sought the public’s assistance Thursday in locating a 29-year-old man diagnosed with depression who was last seen in Rosamond.

Carlos Antonio Velasquez was last seen on Jan. 14 in the 1200 block of West Rosamond Boulevard, near Park Avenue, in the unincorporated Kern County community just north of the Los Angeles County line around 2 p.m., according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau,

Velasquez was described as a 5-foot-7-inch tall Hispanic man weighing 180 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He also has a goatee and a scar on his wrist.

Velasquez was last seen wearing a dark-colored shirt and blue pants.

Sheriff’s officials said Velasquez’s family is growing concerned about his well-being due to his medical condition and is asking for the public’s help in finding him.
