A 65-year-old man killed in a high-speed collision when a car rear-ended a Foothill Transit bus in Pomona was publicly identified Friday.
Jesse Brown died from blunt traumatic injuries in the accident, the Medical Examiner’s office reported. His city of residence was not provided.
The crash at the intersection of West Monterey and North Garey avenues was reported at approximately 9:50 p.m. Tuesday, according to the Pomona Police Department.
According to reports from the scene, the silver four-door sedan was speeding when it struck the rear of the bus, which was stopped at a red light while en route to the Foothill Transit Center.
Three passengers on the bus suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospitals by Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics.
