The Menifee Police Department will conduct a DUI/driver’s license checkpoint next week at an undisclosed location, authorities announced Saturday.
The checkpoint will begin at 7 p.m. on Feb. 1 and conclude at 2 a.m., according to the Menifee Police Department.
Drivers charged with a DUI can face up to $13,500 in fines and penalties and a suspended license.
Funding for the checkpoint was provided by a grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
