A man in his 60s has been arrested in connection with a fatal shooting in the Del Rey area of Los Angeles, police said Wednesday.
Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department’s Pacific Division were called at 9:30 p.m. Tuesday to the 11700 block of Avon Way, between Washington and Culver boulevards regarding a shooting. When they arrived, witnesses told them the victim and the suspect were seen talking in a nearby alley, an LAPD officer told City News Service.
The victim was identified by the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner as 50-year-old Dominic Quaint.
Video obtained near the scene shows the suspect at some point drew a gun, shot the victim and left, according to the LAPD.
Police searched the area for the suspect and arrested him a short time later, not far from the scene.
