A 37-year-old man fatally shot in the Leimert Park neighborhood was identified Friday.
Los Angeles Police Department officers from the Southwest Division found the victim with a gunshot wound to the head, a Los Angeles police officer told City News Service.
Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics were called to the scene, where they pronounced the victim dead.
The victim was later identified by the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner as Jonathan Vasquez Rivas. His city of residence was not provided.
No suspect information was provided.
