A Riverside County sheriff’s patrol SUV collided with a Tesla sedan Monday in San Jacinto, leaving one of the motorists with minor injuries.
The crash happened about 3:45 p.m. at the intersection of East Commonwealth Avenue and South Hewitt Street, on the south end of the city, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The agency could not immediately confirm what triggered the collision.
Officers said that one of the drivers suffered unspecified minor injuries, but it was unclear whether it was the deputy or the person at the wheel of the Tesla.
There was no word on whether the party required hospital treatment.
The intersection was partially shut down because of the crash.
