A 34-year-old suspect fatally shot by Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department deputies in Paramount was identified Monday.
The shooting occurred at 12:15 a.m. Thursday in the 15000 block of Paramount Boulevard and First Street, east of Somerset Business Park, LASD homicide Lt. Steven De Jong said.
The suspect was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
He was later identified by the county Office of Medical Examiner as Juan Alvarez.
