A suspect was shot by Los Angeles police Friday when officers responded to a call of a possible kidnapping attempt in the Pacoima area.
The call at 9:41 a.m. Friday was about a possible kidnapping attempt and a possible attempt at suicide in the 10300 block of San Fernando Road, LAPD Officer Kevin Terzes told City News Service. “An officer-involved shooting occurred.”
One person was taken into custody and taken to a hospital in unknown condition and with unknown injuries, Terzes said. A description of the person was not made public.
No officers were injured, he said.
An investigation was underway.
