A 20-year-old man is hospitalized Saturday after he was shot by assailants in South Los Angeles.
Los Angeles Police Department officers responded at 2:20 a.m. Saturday to 71st and Figueroa streets regarding a shots fired call. When officers arrived, they learned the victim was approached by multiple suspects, who fired at him several times, an LAPD spokesman told City News Service.
The man was able to drive away from the scene and later contacted police, who took him to a hospital in an unknown condition.
The shooters fled in an unknown direction.
