Crews knocked down a fire in a two-story residence near the Mar Vista Recreation Center Sunday.
The fire was reported at 6:28 p.m. Sunday in the 3400 block of South Corinth Avenue in the Mar Vista area, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
More than three dozen firefighters knocked down flames in the wall and ceiling around the kitchen in under half an hour.
No occupants were inside and no injuries were reported.
