Riverside County Fire Department personnel contained a residential blaze in Mecca Monday.
The flames were first reported shortly after 3:30 p.m. Monday at a single-story, single-family structure in the 91000 block of Third Street, according to an RCFD statement.
Firefighters were able to contain the fire within 40 minutes without any reported injuries, the department said. The American Red Cross was enlisted for two displaced adults.
Imperial Irrigation District workers were sent to the site to repair downed power lines.
